Weatherford Texas Holland Lake Park
Holland Lake Park
This park, located off Santa Fe Drive in Weatherford Texas, is a wonderful place to relax.
This tranquil park surrounds a quiet lake that is the home for many duck and geese.
Bring a loaf of day-old bread, and you will be sure to make some new friends!

Throughout the year, you will see young and old, fishing off the banks of this pretty lake.
There are several “Nature Trails,” if you feel like a walk.
However, the trails are not paved, and some areas would not be wheelchair accessible.
The park is known for its two historical double-log cabins that sit close to the lake.
These cabins, withstood an Indian raid back in the 1800’s, and have the bullet holes to prove it!
In 1868, the cabins were taken apart, the logs were numbered, and they were reconstructed at the Holland Lake location, where they remain to this day. You can get up close and peak in the windows. It’s a great way to show the children what life was like on the prairie.

The playground is located between the cabins and the lake. This is a great playground in the summer since it is shaded by full grown oaks that dot the landscape.
A large rock pavilion is also available for reservations for all your special events. For more information or reservations, contact the
Weatherford Texas Parks and Recreation Department.
Currently, this park is closed for remodeling.
