Love St Park
Love St Park is the newest addition in Weatherford Texas.
If you have not had the pleasure of visiting this park, you will be amazed at the new playground equipment! It is like nothing we have ever seen before.
This new style of equipment has more moveable parts that allow the children to spin, twist, and turn with the assistance of gravity, and a little push.
The most interesting piece of equipment has to be this “spinning top” contraption that attracts children like a magnet!
All it takes is one child to start spinning on this, and they all come running.
We have found that the best place to jump on is at the top tilt of the loop. This allows gravity to pull you down, and the speed of it will take you back up to the top to repeat the process again. Two children work best spaced directly across from each other.
Other attractions at this park are things like the “spidy web,” as my kids call it.
This very large web of rope allows children to climb up and inside of it.
Another large play structure has a stand up gravity spinner, and several spinners on the monkey bars. Another favorite would be the “sit and spin” seats that also work with the aid of gravity. There is also a large swingset.
Love Street Park is also the home of Weatherford’s first sprinkler park, which is a big hit!
Sprinklers of every size shoot water up from the ground in random patterns.
This is a great place for the kids to cool off during the summer months.
This park also has a paved walking trail, a lake, and a pavilion that is available for parties and events.
