Chandor Gardens, located in the historic district of Weatherford, is a perfect mix of both English traditional and Chinese gardens. And is, by far, is the most beautiful place to visit in Weatherford Texas. Amazingly enough, you would never know this beautiful garden was here!
Located on top of a hill, and behind tall brick walls, is an enchanting 3.5 acre estate complete with a 5600 sq. ft. mansion. The grounds of the estate intertwine with pathways that meander around meticulously manicured hedges, blooming trees, flowers, fountains, and even a 30 ft waterfall.
Tucked away and hidden from the naked eye, are little secret gardens waiting to be discovered. Statues of oriental flavor also dot the grounds, along with gazebos, and bridges that cross ponds full of Koi.
Known for it’s superb beauty, it’s no wonder that this garden is the backdrop for many professional photographers and the setting for elegant weddings each spring. The sights and sounds of this wondrous place is enough to melt the stress away from anyone.
Hours are from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturdays and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sundays. The grounds as well as the mansion are available for private parties and weddings, and you may also request private tours. For more information, please visit there website:
