Ride for Heroes is a an organization that holds an annual bike ride in support of several deserving groups including: the fire departments of Hudson Oaks, Willow Park and Aledo, Campbell Emergency Response Team, Texas Bicycle Coalition, Parker County Sherriff’s Reserve, Aledo student clubs, and many more. Ride for Heroes
starts in Aledo and winds through Weatherford, around the Weatherford Lake, to the top of Upper Denton Road for an outstanding 40 mile view, and eventually back down to Aledo. You can choose to bike 20, 40, 75, or 100 mile routs. There are several rest stops along the way where volunteers provide food and drinks for the riders.
