Weatherford Farmer’s Market is located conveniently across the street from First Mondays Trade Days, and only a few blocks from the courthouse square.
What to expect: Beautiful displays of seasonal fresh fruits, vegetables, and a wide assortment of flowers and plants.
This Farmer’s Market supports the local farmers around the area and tries to supply their customers with as much farm fresh produce as possible.
Not all their produce comes from the local farmers due to seasons and availability, so make sure to ask what is local.
Seasonal favorites include the Black Diamond Watermelon, and of course, the Parker County Peach.
Farm fresh eggs are also available in the refrigerated section.
You can also expect to find a large assortment of delicious preserves, canned fruits, and locally made salsas from several different private labels, along with beef jerky, soft pralines, and peanut brittle. You can even find real Dublin Dr. Pepper in the old-fashioned bottles!
Local honey is also available, and the residents here swear by it if you suffer from allergies. Since local bees gather the pollen from the local area, we are told that it can help relieve your allergies. Many people around the area buy the honey just for this purpose, never mind the fact that it’s delicious!
This Farmer’s Market is also a great place to find unique treasures and gifts. Crafts such as hand painted signs, garden art,sweet smelling candles, fancy birdhouses, and beautiful hanging baskets await you in this one of a kind market!
Holidays are extra special at Weatherford Farmer’s Market. In the fall, you can find an amazing display of ornamental gourds and giant pumpkins, sure to delight all! They carry everything you will need to decorate including huge corn stocks bursting with bright yellow dried corn, hand-made scarecrows, and an assortment of dried miniature maize and tiny pumpkins for your holiday table. Christmas trees and decorations are also available in December.
